Dick-A-Dense or Wanna Play?… is a table card game designed for the very large gay community that visits the city of New Orleans every year for Southern Decadence. It is a limited edition of 100 decks only. Designed entirely by Alejandro García-Lemos AKA gamín.
INSTRUCTIONS:
DICK-A-DENSE: …Wanna play?
Cock-centration:
You can play solitaire or with up to six people, or teams.
How: Remove the cover card, shuffle the cards several times.
Lay the 54 cards out in a rectangle, face-down on a flat surface.
The first player flips one card over, leaves it face-up and says the name aloud. Repeat for a second card. If they match, remove the pair and go again. If they don’t match, turn them both back over. The next player repeats the process. Once all of the cards are removed, the player with the most pairs wins.
Rimmy:
Similar to Rummy with up to four players.
How: Shuffle the cards. Deal nine cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face-down in a pile. Turn over the top card and place it face-up next to the pile. Players now look at their cards.
Player One draws either the face-up card or the top card of the pile. If Player One opts for a face-down card, the other players may take the top face-up card, beginning in clockwise fashion from Player One.
If Player One has any pairs, they place them face-up on the side, say the name, then discard one card.
Player Two repeats the process, but can take as many cards from the face-up stack as desired—or take one face-down card from the pile.
Each player continues the process clockwise around the table. When the pile is depleted, reshuffle and place back and flip the top card to continue play.
The Joker can be paired with any card, and any player can pick up the joker by substituting the matching card during their turn.
The player to run out of cards first yells “RIMMY!” and gets a five point bonus. Pairs of Dicks are worth two points. Pairs of Asses or Jokers are worth four points. Each player adds their points for pairs and the points still in your hand are subtracted from the player’s total, as follows: one point (1) per Dick or two (2) points per Ass or Joker.
The player with the most points wins. We recommend playing a pre-established number of rounds.
Bonus Game!
Old Troll (The Donald):
How: Similar to Old Maid, 3 or more players.
Remove one “Donald” card. Deal all of the remaining 53 cards to the players.
Each player places any matches they have, face up. Player One blindly draws a card from the person to their left. Any matches are put down. The player stuck with the “Old Troll” (the Donald) is the loser.
Enjoy the game!
